"The Star," Jenny Montgomery, crow quill and ink on paper, 2022

​This is an audio piece about my diviner friends' experiences pulling The Star card, a hopeful image which follows immediately after the difficult Tower card in the major arcana Tarot series. The Star was randomly assigned to me for the Pull-A-Card Tarot show at ZACC. I pulled it March 17, 2022 after a months-long search for a house in a tight market (we were being displaced from our rental of 11 years). I took this as a sign of hope. Sixteen days later, we were shown a sweet little house that was unlisted --and we are living there today!
