About
I offer astrology readings with an emphasis on developing the authentic self. My approach is based on traditional techniques and informed by themes in Jungian psychology: shadow integration, soul purpose, bringing ancestral patterns to light, and reconciling the spirit of our depths with the chaotic spirit of our times.
I offer sessions focused on life transitions, major events, and working with important dreams. Periodically, I facilitate groups studying archetypes in everyday life, divination, image making, and ritual as supplements to one's own inner work.
As a child, I was drawn to the forest and the realm of fairy tales and myth. I studied art, comparative faith, and Jungian topics at the Evergreen State College and later earned my Ph.D. in Middle East Studies at Columbia University focusing on the history of astrology, divination, and magic in the Greco-Arab world. In 2023, I completed a certificate in Jungian studies for non-clinicians through the Jung Institute of Los Angeles.
Concurrent with my astrological practice, I have pursued creative work as a writer, artist, and editor. My journalism, comics, and poetry have appeared in publications including the New York Times, Montana magazine, Sensitive Skin, Unsplendid, A Gathering of the Tribes, Barrow Street, Tar River Poetry, Calyx, the Cairo Times, and others.
I love to travel and have lived in New York City, Cairo, Beirut, Malta, and Missoula, Montana, where my husband, Ryan, and I own Montgomery Distillery. Our son Heath is a high schooler. I am active with BASE Missoula, an all-abilities arts and community center.
