About

I offer in-depth, private astrology readings with an emphasis on developing the authentic self. My approach is informed by themes in Jungian psychology: reclamation of the denied feminine, shadow integration, soul purpose, bringing to light ancestral patterns, and reconciling the spirit of our true depths with the chaotic spirit of our times.
For existing clients, I offer short-term astrological coaching focused on specific astrological complexes, life transitions, and working with important dreams. Periodically, I teach workshops on archetypes in everyday life, divination, image making, and ritual as supplements to one's own inner work.
As a child, I was drawn to the forest and the realm of fairy tales and myth. I studied art, comparative faiths, and Jungian topics at the Evergreen State College and later earned my Ph.D. in Middle East Studies at Columbia University focusing on the history of astrology, divination, and magic in the Greco-Arab world.
Concurrent with my astrological practice, I have pursued creative work as a writer, cartoonist, and editor. My journalism, comics, and poetry have appeared in publications including the New York Times, Montana magazine, Sensitive Skin, Unsplendid, A Gathering of the Tribes, Barrow Street, Tar River Poetry, Calyx, the Cairo Times, and others.
I love to travel and have lived in New York City, Cairo, Beirut, Malta, and Missoula, Montana, where my husband, Ryan, and I own Montgomery Distillery. Our son Heath is a middle schooler. I sit on the board of Summit Independent Living, which advances the independence and civil rights of people with disabilities.
